SHARPENING & REPAIR

Keep the knife you already value.

We accept sharpening requests for Japanese kitchen knives, including knives purchased from other makers and shops. Contact us first so we can review the knife and the work you need.

START WITH CONDITION

Sharpening is not one fixed operation.

The correct work depends on edge condition, geometry, damage, steel and previous sharpening. That is why the overseas process begins with information and photos rather than a one-click service purchase.

SHARPENING

Dull or tired edges

Tell us how the knife is behaving and how it is used. We will determine whether the request is within scope.

DAMAGE

Chips and tip damage

Repair feasibility varies with severity and knife construction. Photos are required before we make a commitment.

OTHER REPAIR

Handles and other issues

Some repair work can be assessed case by case. Send photos and details so we can tell you whether the request is suitable for further review.

WHEN TO SHARPEN

Not sure if your knife is getting dull?

Watch how a tomato behaves before the blade enters. Our real-photo and video comparison shows four knife conditions and a simple household cue for noticing edge decline.
